A tourist destination. In principle any [Place](http://schema.org/Place) can be a [TouristDestination](http://schema.org/TouristDestination) from a [City](http://schema.org/City), [Region](http://schema.org/Region) or [Country](http://schema.org/Country) to an [AmusementPark](http://schema.org/AmusementPark) or [Hotel](http://schema.org/Hotel). This Type can be used on its own to describe a general [TouristDestination](http://schema.org/TouristDestination), or be used as an [additionalType](http://schema.org/additionalType) to add tourist relevant properties to any other [Place](http://schema.org/Place). A [TouristDestination](http://schema.org/TouristDestination) is defined as a [Place](http://schema.org/Place) that contains, or is colocated with, one or more [TouristAttraction](http://schema.org/TouristAttraction)s, often linked by a similar theme or interest to a particular [touristType](http://schema.org/touristType). The [UNWTO](http://www2.unwto.org/) defines Destination (main destination of a tourism trip) as the place visited that is central to the decision to take the trip. (See examples below).
